Miami, FL, July 10, 2009 -- Trina Robinson, South Florida area news anchor and local celebrity will be the event emcee at the annual Star Gala on Saturday, November 14, 2009.

Best known as one of South Florida most visible and recognizable on-air personality and versatile reporters, Trina Robinson will Emcee the event at Miccosukee Resort and Gaming in Miami, Florida.

Trina is an Emmy award winning journalist and has had multiple re-incarnations during her tenure with NBC6 from "Trina Tries It" where she did everything from toss knives as a Benihanna Chef to grabbing a chainsaw to ice sculpt a towering frigid work of art.  Currently, Trina's latest journalistic venture is a weekly segment called “The Recessionista Report."  Each Monday, Trina seeks out the steals and deals and provides cash saving tips to save viewers mega-money.

The Film, Recording and Entertainment Council's "Star Gala" honors dynamic industry leaders and talent who share a commitment to professional excellence and making a difference in the South Florida community.  The honorees are people shaping the future of the industry in South Florida and in the global market. The winners are recognized as a select group of people who have achieved notable success and demonstrated strong leadership and success in the industry. The honorees are selected by an independent panel of judges.
